The United Kingdom has called for climate resilience in Somalia.
Through its embassy in Mogadishu, the UK government called upon all stakeholders to embrace climate resilience efforts.
The UK reiterated its belief that climate resilience is the perfect tool for ensuring that communities in Somalia handle the effects of climate change.
On April 22, which is the World Earth Day, the UK helped several families in a Somali village.
It handed over a solar-powered borehole to residents of Laanle village.
The UK government had constructed the borehole jointly with BRCiS Consortium to villagers who couldn’t find water for their families and animals.
