Somalia is one of the African countries that is earmarked for the climate disaster risk financing initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Other than Somalia, other nations set to benefit from the initiative include Comoros, Djibouti, and South Sudan.

They are all part of the $35 million climate disaster risk financing project initiated by the AfDB.

This project will enhance these countries resilience to climate-related disasters by providing financial resources and support for disaster risk management.

The initiative will help these nations better prepare for and respond to climate-induced events, thereby protecting their populations and economies from the adverse impacts of climate change.
