The Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, addressed the 2024 Somalia Development Forum (SDF2024) on the link between climate change and sustainable growth.

Al-Makhzoumi addressed the forum on Tuesday.

In her speech, the minister highlighted the economic development of Somalia post-demonetization.

Nevertheless, much of her speech dwelt on enabling the audience to understand the role that climate change plays in Somalia’s pursuit of sustainable growth.

She encouraged universities and research centers in the country to be at the forefront of contributing to Somalia’s future.
