The Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change chaired a technical meeting today to prepare for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference, which is known as COP29.
Various stakeholders were represented at the meeting, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu on Saturday last week.
Those present during the discussions included representatives from the Ministries of Fisheries, Livestock, Labor, Water & Energy, Finance, and Planning.
Discussions focused on strategizing for Somalia’s successful participation in COP29, which will be in Baku from November 11-22, 2024.
