Carl Skau led a delegation comprising officials from the World Health Programme (WFP) in visiting areas prone to recurrent climate shocks in Somalia.

Skau, WFP’s Deputy Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, visited Baidoa, the administrative capital of Southwest State, this week.

The WFP team hailed the resilience of the residents of Baidoa in the face of multiple climate related challenges.

The work of the WFP in providing assistance is crucial, and it’s encouraging that the community is seeking more support for self-reliance.
