The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mahamuud Moallim, emphasized his commitment to addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis and mitigating the risks of the La Niña phenomenon in 2025.

The SoDMA Commissioner said this on Monday during the opening session of the Country Humanitarian Forum held in Dhusamareb, Galmudug State.

He highlighted that these challenges would be tackled through the Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan 2025 (HNRP), which is already being implemented.

This initiative focuses on coordinated efforts to alleviate suffering and enhance resilience in the face of climate-induced and conflict-driven crises across Somalia.
