The 4th East Africa Climate Finance Meeting, held in Kampala, Uganda, brought together key figures from the region.

Somalia too sent its representatives to the summit.

These included Chief Economic Advisor and Executive Director of the National Economic Council (NEC), Hassan A. Hosow, and the Executive Director of the National Climate Finance (NCF), Liban Obsiye.

This meeting, organized under the Taskforce on Access to Climate Finance, was notable as Somalia recently became the 7th Pioneer Country to join the initiative.

The event was instrumental in advancing both national and regional efforts towards climate finance, focusing on increasing access to financial resources critical for climate adaptation and resilience.
