In Mogadishu, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Lt. Gen. Bashir Mohamed Jama, chaired a high-level Consultative Forum with environment ministers from federal member states—Jubbaland, Galmudug, Southwest, HirShabelle, and SSC-Khaatumo.
The meeting, which took place on Thursday, focused on developing a coordinated federal-state approach to mitigate climate change shocks and strengthen Somalia’s resilience against their escalating impacts.
