Somalia’s Ministry of Education, in coordination with Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and IGAD Climate Adaptation and Environmental Protection, launched the Climate Education Initiative on Monday.

This initiative aims to integrate climate change education into the national curriculum, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices.

The program underscores Somalia’s commitment to building climate resilience and raising awareness among future generations about the urgent need to combat climate change.
